Consultant's Corner: Convention with Jeny Ayres

When Jeny Ayres joined my SLAH team a little over 2 years ago, I knew immediately that she would have a successful future with SLAH!

How did I KNOW this?

Because one of the very first questions she asked me when we were discussing her joining the business was...

"What are the dates for convention?"

She then went on to tell me, without hesitation, that she would have to cancel a trip to a concert with her mom and sister because it would conflict with convention.

I remember getting off of the phone and saying to my husband with surprise and delight...

"I think my new consultant is going to go to convention!"

And she did!

Just 3 months after signing her contract.

And I was right! Jeny has had a very successful SLAH business and has even earned a General Incentive trip!

She has dreams of becoming a Director and knows that the best way to make that dream a reality is to INVEST in her future!

I am privileged to have had the opportunity to share not just one, but two convention experiences with her!

And... will Jeny be going to her 3rd convention this summer?

You better believe it!

I asked Jeny to share a bit about convention, from her point of view:

" I went to my first convention in June of 2007 in Indianapolis and LOVED IT! I had only been a consultant for 3 months, but I had a feeling it would be worth the investment and I was right! I was hesitant at first, just because I had spent most of my "profits" thus far on more product so I really wasn't ahead yet. But I took a chance and it was a great decision. There are SO SO many benefits to going, that afterwards you don't really even think about the cost. That is partially due to the fact that you are so motivated you go out and make money and forget what you were so worried about in the first place:) It is a great GIRLS WEEKEND, filled with great training, an AMAZING product showcase (seriously girls, look at Danielle's shutterfly account!), testimonials, exciting company incentives, bonding with team members, making new friends, FREE Fall 2009 product (they are pretty, did you see pictures of them) ...and the list could go on. You will leave with this feeling of empowerment that is so profound, that you will feel great not just as a consultant, but as a person! We do so much for our kiddos, husband, school, Church, soccer team, do this for yourself! Danielle gave me a little momento at my first convention that said "The best way to predict your future is to create it!" ---so go create it.

On a side note... Danielle and I are a lot of fun:)"

And I will add...

Not only are we fun, I'm pretty sure we don't snore!

I sincerely hope that each of you will consider investing in yourself and make the trip to Dallas with us this summer... I promise, you will NOT be disappointed!

Ummm... Do you think she was having fun?!

The start of our Convention 2008 Experience...

When our flights were really delayed, we improvised! We flew to a different city, rented a car, and DROVE the rest of the way to Nashville! Jeny did the driving while I "pumped" in the backseat :)

Jeny was one of a few people chosen to share a quote that she found meaningful. It was read during the General Session and Jeny was recognized on stage!
